Write a Thank You Note Each a Day

I learned today that Mark Zuckerberg writes at least one, well-considered thank-you note each day, via e-mail or handwritten. And, it makes sense when you consider that Facebook wouldn’t be the company that it is today without the hard work and dedication of so many people.

The funny thing is that I started 2016 with the same resolution. Sure, I didn’t create Facebook. But, I wouldn’t be where I’m at today without the contribution of others.

I’m fortunate to have a rockstar of a daughter, a loving family, silly animals and solid friends.

I call Minnesota home, an amazing place to live…for real.

I’ve experienced more than I could imagine (the Pixies concert in Chicago, a contemplative visit to Robben Island and cheering QPR to victory over Chelsea at Loftus Road, just to name a few).

Sure, I’ve also had my share of struggles and I’m grateful for the grace of those who have helped me along the way.

I’ve had the opportunity to work with so many wicked smart folks, inspired by their dedication. And, I practice my craft in a field that I thoroughly enjoy.

So, being thankful is the least I can do.

Favorite 2016 Super Bowl Spot

Helen Mirren is the star of Brand Bowl (and by association Budweiser) with my top Super Bowl spot. There’s something pleasant about being talked to sternly by a ‘notoriously frank and uncensored British lady’. Right? So, don’t be a pillock and go driving drunk now.
